Improving the quality of life for children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS through enriching programs, unforgettable experiences, and connections with the community.

Our Story is an interesting one...

What began as a collection of enthusiastic ideas has grown into a groundbreaking non-profit organization that fills the "quality of life care" gap for children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS across the state of Georgia.

H.E.R.O. for Children began from the idea of two idealistic, young entrepreneurs who wanted to take their international experiences in Kenya and Brazil, working alongside children with HIV/AIDS, and create an organization for similar children in their own home state of Georgia. Realizing that 500 organizations in Georgia support the needs of people with HIV/AIDS, it became clear that very few specifically focused on children. Even more alarming was the large void in comprehensive care after food, housing, and medical needs were taken care of. H.E.R.O. for Children became the answer to fill that gap and provide programs focused on the "heads and hearts" of these special children.

Our passionate Vision

Often organizations begin with little more than dreams of impact. The story of H.E.R.O. for Children is much the same. From lofty ideas to the beginning of a movement, H.E.R.O. for Children remains mindful of its humble beginnings as it passionately continues to set the standard for quality of life care for children affected by HIV/AIDS.
